The Evening Post 14th May 1913
At the Church of Christ, Vivian-street, Mr. Mudge officiating, Miss Lucy (Lil) Wright, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Henry G. Wright, Fitzroy, Melbourne, was married to Mr. George Butt, fourth son of the late Captain Butt, of Wellington. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. A. Wright, wore a frock of silk taffetas, trimmed with silk all-over lace and pearls. She wore the customary wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of white flowers and asparagus ferns. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Jessie Kertland and Miss A. Davis, who wore dainty pink crepe-de-chine dresses, trimmed with all-over lace and satin and ornamented with buttons. They wore large black hates with ostrich plumes, and carried shower bouquets of pink chrysanthemums and asparagus ferns. Mr. J. E. Creed acted as best man, and Mr. G. E. Wright as groomsman. After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast was held at the bride's mother's home, where the usual toasts were drunk and a very enjoyable evening spent. The presents were numerous
