Freak Hen
A white leghorn hen owned in Feilding by Mr A. Hobday has laid nine eggs in four days. Isolated from the rest of the poultry on account of the other hens worrying it, the white leghorn laid three eggs one day to the surprise of the owner. The following day it laid two and on the next three and on the fourth consecutive day produced one, thus producing nine eggs in four days. The pace was not maintained, however, and now the owner has to be content with one egg a day
