Kearney Elva Mary Of Paraparaumu - On December 31, 1999, peacefully at Summerset Centre, Waikanae. Aged 85 years. Beloved wife of Ted for 50 years. Much loved mother of Anne and Paul. Loved Nana of Yvette and Hayden. RIP. In Lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Saint Columbians Missionary Society, and may be left in the Church foyer. Mr Joseph Rose of Westport, the well known photographer, died suddenly last week. The late Mr Rose, who was 61 years of age, was a native of the Grey district. Whilst in Westport, he took a keen interest in public affairs, was Secretary up till the time of death of his death of the Westport Bowling Club, in connection with which he had a fine playing as well as Secretarial record, including a winning part in local and Coast championships. He was interested in mining developments, being one of the originators and a director of the Cascade Coal Mining Company. The late Mr Rose was a member of the Masonic Craft, being a P.M. of the Kawatiri Westport Lodge and had also passed through the chairs of the Royal Arch Masonary
