The death occurred at his home in Cuba-street yesterday of Mr. John Frederick Kuch, who had been in business in Wellington as a pork butcher for the past forty years. The deceased, who arrived from Europe by the Afghan, was in partnership in this city with the late Mr. Frederick Martin, and then started on his own account. For some months past he had been in indifferent health. last Wednesday week he became suddenly ill, and he passed away quietly yesterday, the cause of death being pneumonia. For many years he was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and he was on the Mount Cook School Committee for two years. He has left a widow, three sons (Messrs. Frederick, Jules, and Benjamin Kuch), and two daughters (Misses Lena and Rosetta Kuch). Mr. J. C. C. Kuch, of Courtenay-place in his brother
