Gichard - Benson - On the 1st of February, at St John's Church, Wanganui, William George, eldest son of William Gichard, of Aramoho, to Melanie Louisa, second daughter of George Benson, of Wanganui.

A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at St. John's English Church yesterday, the contracting parties being William George Gichard, eldest son of Mr William Gichard, of Aramoho, and Melanie Louisa Benson, second daughter of Mr George Benson, of Wanganui. The Rev. T. B. Maclean officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was handsomely attired, was given away by her father, Mr Louis Gichard acting as best man, and Mr George Benson junr., as groomsman, the bridesmaids being Miss Agnes Benson (sister of the bride) and Miss Gichard. The happy couple, who were the recipients of many valuable presents, left by the afternoon train en route to Wellington, where the honeymoon is to be spent
