Fears are entertained for the safety of George Buck, a son of Mrs. Buck, of Taita. He was returning from Carterton on Sunday afternoon to Cooper's Station, Wainuiorau, and has not been seen or heard of since. He is supposed to have been drowned in the Wainuiorau River, as his horse was found with the saddle on near the river.
