Attended Otaki Convent School. Won a scholarship to St Patrick's College, Wellington and went to World War I. Norman worked at the Government Life Office, Wellington and was never married. He died quite young in 1933 and is buried next to his parents at Otaki. In 1998, his grave was overgrown.

Individual Note: Some details from The Bennetts of Pencarrow by Paul Bennett
Attended Otaki Convent School. Joseph worked on a farm near Otaki before going to World War I. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant and was highly thought of by his men. He was wounded twice, the second time he was hit in the shoulder as he was evacuating his men after an attack on German positions, in 1917. He refused attention, saying other were worse than he was. He died soon after, apparently from loss of blood. He visited his English relatives while stationed overseas.

Attended Otaki Convent School. Athol worked for the Post and Telegraph Department all his life. He was called up for war service, but not sent overseas because he had three brothers serving overseas. He worked in the postal service at Featherston Military Camp during the war. He married Dorothy Frances Goddard and lived at Palmerston North (1934 - 1936), Wellington and Paraparaumu.
