The wedding was recently solemnised at the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church of Gwendoline May Fraser, only daughter of Mrs. B. A. Fraser, of Wellington, to William Arthur Melrose, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Melrose, of Mosgiel. The Rev. J. Baird, B.A., officiated. The bride, who was given away by her uncle Mr. Charles Bott, wore a lovely dress of pale pink satin with cream silk lace and pearl trimmings, caught up at the side with a cluster of orange blossoms. She also wore a hand-embroidered veil and carried a bouquet of pale pink and cream roses and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Kate Bott (cousin of the bride) wore pale green Tosca satin with silver trimming. She also wore a coronet of diamante with a tulle bow to tone with her frock, and carried a bouquet to match. The little flower girl, Gabriel Tasker, looked picturesque in her petal frock of apricot satin, and carried a basket of lavender and apricot sweet pea. Mr. Lindsay Melrose, of Clinton, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Orange Hall, Daniell street, Newtown, where Mrs. Fraser received her guests in a navy blue and henna jersey silk frock and a silver hat with black ospreys.
