The children will be interested to learn the result of the "hidden names" competition recently conducted at the City Boot Shop. It is rather strange, seeing how few names were to be found and the number of entries, that not one succeeded in getting the complete list, which was as follows: — Notman, Willis, Price, Calman, Purser, Keesing, Green, Ball, Read, Treadwell, Forlong and Armstrong. The first list sent in which had only one name wrong was No. 9, belonging, to Mary L. Gichard, Kaikokopu Road, Aramoho, who wins the bicycle, which is now awaiting her. The competitions have been so well taken up that Mr Bird contemplates opening another shortly.
