     Percival Kilmartin Birth Certificate shows Name as John Patrick Kilmartin and Death Certificate shows Name as Percival John Joseph Kilmartin. His mother arrived in Wellington from Ireland one month before he was born and 3 months before his father. She named him Percival John but his father being a very staunch Irish Catholic was not going to have his son carry an English name so he went and got him re-christened and re-registered as John Patrick. The name Percival stuck and has come down through the family, D Carter does not have any idea how the name Joseph crept into it but he assumes that was his saints Confirmation name and the family decided to include it when his death was registered. Dearly loved wife of the late Syd and much loved and respected Mum of John and Dennis, loved mother-in-law of Marie and Maureen. Dear Nana of Jonathan and Melissa, Jane and Joh and Timothy and Jane, great nana of Emma Jane and dear friend of Adrienne. Special thanks to the staff at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village for their loving care and attention and the residents for their friendship.
