The Otago Witness 19th October 1904 shows
Death - A young man well known to us all joined the great majority on the 15th inst. - Mr Wilfred Divers, who was agent in Clinton for the National Mortgage and Agency Company. Mr Divers had for more than a year been in a very indifferent state of health, and lately was confined to bed. Whilst we sympathise with his relatives over their loss, yet we cannot but all feel that his death was a happy release from a life of pain.
