Grieve Hilda Verena - On August 22, 1998, peacefully at her son's home, in her 85th year, loving wife of the late Robert (Bob), loving mother and mother in law of Brian and Shirlee (Australia), Joe and Faye (Australia), Doc and Noreen, and the late Graeme, and loved nana and great nana of her fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Special thanks to staff of Ward 26, Christchurch Hospital, and the Nurse Maude Association, for their wonderful care, and especially to Dr Harty for his caring, personal attention. Family and friends are welcome to pay their last respects to Hilda, at 48 Blake Street, South Brighton. Her Funeral service will be held at our Ferry Park Chapel, 297 Ferry Road, on Wednesday, August 26, at 2 p.m., interment thereafter in the Memorial Park Cemetery. J. Lamb, Trotter, F.D.A.N.Z

Grieve Graeme - On Thursday evening Christchurch Dog Training Club lost one of its originals. Apart from being a foundation member of the C.D.T.C, 29 years ago, Graeme was one top notch dog trainer, excellent instructor and valued friend. His contribution to C.D.T.C will be long treasured and remembered. He was a little guy who fought many battles and, until now, always won. The dog obedience world has lost one of its pillars?. Although physically small, Graeme towered above others in his personality, his strength and his determination. Farewell, dear friend, thank you for the time you spent with us.
