The Evening Post 10th December 1908 shows
In consequence of the removal of Constable D. Mahoney to the Upper Hutt, Constable Wm. Mahoney is to go to Woodville to fill the vacancy. Constable Bagrie, of Napier, is under orders to transfer to Levin, to replace Constable Gray, who is retiring. Constable Longbottom, of Mount Cook, is to go to Levin as second constable, vice Constable Gillett.
