Mrs. Constable had a wide circle of friends, her kindly disposition and readiness to help in times of sickness endearing her to those amongst whom she was best known

Chapman, Emily Irene. On March 31, 1985 (peacefully), at Middlemore Hospital; in her 93rd year, dearly loved wife of the late Charles, dearly loved mother and mother in law of Cliff and Athalie, Gwen, Nola and Gib Kenning, Gladys and Bryon Lloyd, loved nana of Debbie, Brian and Robyn, Neville and Margaret, Christine and Jim, David, Geoffrey and Jan, Christopher and Debbie, and Nigel and dearest Nana Chapman of her eight great grandchildren. She fought a good fight, finished the course, kept the faith, and there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness. Sincere thanks to doctors and staff at Ward 4, Middlemore Hospital, for their care and kindness. A service will be held at the Pakuranga Baptist Church, Ti Rakau Drive, Pakuranga, at 1 pm today (Tuesday), followed by a private interment.
