SWIMMING
The annual meeting of the Island Bay Amateur Swimming Club was held last evening, Mr. G. Beckett presiding.
    The report and balance-sheet for the past year were read and adopted.
    Officers were elected as follow: President, Mr. Hindmarsh; vice-presidents, Dr. Deamer, Messrs. Ivory, O'Regan, Chatfield, Laurenson, Stuckey, Greville, Shields, Whitelaw, and Keene; secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Collins; captain, Mr. L. Smith; vice-captain, Mr. H. Hinds, committee. Messrs. R. Collins, L. Smith, H. Hinds. J. Beckett, J. Harper, C. Perry. H. Hanson, C. Purvis, L. Keene, and Miss E. Harper.
    A hearty vote of thanks was extended to the late secretary and treasurer, also to the committee.
